Cottages in Charlestown, Fife, built in the 18th century, a brain child of Charles 5th Earl of Elgin, to house the workers in his lime producing industry. A model village was created, and these charming - though small - stone  built houses with their very low doorways and massive chimneys are still home to a vibrant community of people today.
